Frequently Asked Questions

What is a virtual office / virtual mailbox?

A virtual office gives you a real street address for your business — not a P.O. box — that you can use for mail, business registration, and your public-facing address. Mail sent there is received, logged, and made available to you digitally or in person.

What is a PMB number and why do I have one?

PMB stands for Private Mailbox. It's the specific box number assigned to you at your chosen location, similar to an apartment or suite number, and is used on your mailing address (e.g., '123 Main St, PMB 42'). USPS requires commercial mail receiving agencies to track PMB numbers as part of CMRA compliance.

What is CMRA and why do I need to fill out a form?

CMRA (Commercial Mail Receiving Agency) is the USPS designation for businesses like ours that accept mail on behalf of others. Federal regulations require every client to complete PS Form 1583 and provide two forms of ID before we can accept mail for them — this is a USPS requirement, not something we can waive.

How does mail scanning work?

Once you sign up, mail sent to your address is received, the envelope is photographed, and it's logged to your account. You can then request that any piece be scanned (contents emailed to you), forwarded, shredded, or recycled, right from your online portal.

Is there a setup fee?

Mail scanning plans never have a setup fee. Virtual office and live answering plans include a promotional free setup during current sign-up periods — check the relevant plan page for current pricing.

Can I forward multiple pieces of mail together to save on postage?

Yes — you can select multiple mail items in your portal and have them forwarded together in a single envelope or package, rather than paying separate postage for each piece.

What happens if I don't pay my invoice on time?

We send reminders at 1, 3, and 10 days past due. If payment still isn't received, your service may be cancelled and any mail on file returned to sender, per our Terms of Use. Reinstatement is possible by bringing the account current.

Can someone else pick up my mail for me?

Yes — you can authorize up to three additional people to pick up mail or act on your behalf from your portal. Each authorized person also needs to complete the required CMRA and ID verification process.

How is Same Day Virtual different from Anytime Mailbox, iPostal1, Alliance, or Davinci?

We offer the same core services — real business addresses, mail scanning, live answering, and meeting rooms — with straightforward per-location pricing, no long-term contracts, and a modern online portal for managing everything in one place.
