How to choose a virtual office in Los Angeles (2026)
By Same Day Virtual 路 Updated
The short answer
Start with what the address has to do: receive mail, appear on your website and invoices, go on a state filing, or host meetings. Then compare the kind of address (office-building virtual office, mailbox store, coworking membership, private office or P.O. box), the neighborhood and ZIP code, the full monthly cost including scanning and forwarding, the notice needed to cancel, and whether meeting rooms can be booked. Any business that receives mail for you as your agent will ask for USPS Form 1583 and two IDs.
1. Decide what the address has to do
The right choice depends on the job. Write down which of these you need before you compare prices:
- A mailing address for letters, checks and packages, with the option to have them scanned or forwarded.
- A public business address for your website, invoices, business cards and accounts, so your home address stays private.
- An address for state filings. These have their own rules; for a California LLC, see the section on paperwork below before you list any address.
- A place to meet clients, interview candidates or sign documents, booked by the hour.
- A desk or office you work from every day. That is a coworking membership or a private office, not a virtual office.
2. Compare the kinds of address
Five kinds of address come up when people search for a Los Angeles business address. They solve different problems, so compare them by what you get and by the questions worth asking, not by price alone.
| Option | What it is | Questions to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Virtual office in an office building | A street address in an office building, with mail received for you and add-ons such as scanning, call answering and meeting rooms by the hour. | Is the monthly price shown for each address? What do scanning and forwarding cost? Can rooms be booked online, and at which addresses? |
| Mailbox at a mailbox store | A mailbox rented at a retail store's street address. | How will the address be written? Is scanning offered? What are the pickup hours? |
| Coworking membership | Access to shared desks in a coworking space; mail handling may be part of a plan or an extra. | Does my plan include mail, and can I use the address as my business address? How long is the commitment? |
| Private office (executive suite) | A furnished office of your own in a shared suite, for a fixed term. Ours list their minimum term on each listing. | What is the minimum term? What is included in the rent? Are conference rooms included? |
| USPS P.O. box | A box at a post office. | Will the places I need to list the address accept a P.O. box? California's LLC Statement of Information, for example, says not to list a P.O. box as the principal office street address. |
Whichever you choose, check the provider's own terms for the price, the contract length and what happens to mail after you leave.
3. Pick the neighborhood and ZIP code
Pick the city name and ZIP code you want on your letterhead. Beverly Hills (90210 and 90212) and Santa Monica are separate cities, so their names appear on the address. Downtown and West Los Angeles are inside the City of Los Angeles, so the postal city on those addresses is "Los Angeles".
These are the Los Angeles addresses you can sign up for online today, with their current prices:
| Address | Area | Price | Meeting rooms online |
|---|---|---|---|
| 611 Wilshire Blvd | Downtown Los Angeles | $75/mo | Yes, by appointment |
| 835 Wilshire Blvd | Downtown Los Angeles | $75/mo | Yes, by appointment |
| 415 North Camden Drive | Beverly Hills | $75/mo | No |
| 9100 Wilshire Blvd | Beverly Hills | $75/mo | No |
| 11150 West Olympic Blvd | West Los Angeles | $75/mo | Yes, by appointment |
| 2219 Main Street | Santa Monica | $160/mo | Yes, by appointment |
| 8939 S Sepulveda Blvd | Los Angeles County | $60/mo | Yes, by appointment |
| 5850 Canoga Ave Suite 400 | Woodland Hills | $95/mo | Yes, by appointment |
| 7080 Hollywood Blvd | Hollywood | $195/mo | Yes, by appointment |
Neighborhood pages compare them side by side: Downtown Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, West Los Angeles and Santa Monica.
4. Add up the real monthly cost
The address price is only part of the bill. Before you compare providers, add the services you will actually use:
- Mail scanning: is it included, and how many pages a month?
- Forwarding: postage, any markup, and any handling fee per shipment.
- Storage: how long mail is held for free.
- Setup fees and any deposit.
- Meeting rooms: the hourly rate and the cancellation rule.
Worked example with Same Day Virtual's current prices
- Address at 8939 S Sepulveda Blvd, Los Angeles County: $60/mo
- Starter mail scanning (20 pages): $19/mo
- Setup: free during the current promotion
$79/mo before any forwarding. Forwarding is actual postage plus 30% and a $20 handling fee per shipment; storage is free for 30 days per item; meeting rooms start at $50/hour.
5. Read the contract terms
Look for the minimum term, how much notice cancelling takes, and whether the price can change. With Same Day Virtual: Plans are month to month, with no long-term contract. To cancel, send written notice (email is fine); service ends on the last day of the month in which the 30th day after your notice falls. The full wording is in the Terms of Use.
If you also want an office, private offices are a separate agreement with their own term, shown on each office listing.
6. Paperwork: Form 1583 and state filings
Any business that receives mail for you as your agent, whether a virtual office or a mailbox store, will ask for USPS Form 1583 with two IDs, signed in front of the agent, on a live video call with the agent, or before a notary. Our Form 1583 guide walks through it.
Many clients use it as their business mailing address. California's Statement of Information asks for a street address for the principal office (it says not to list a P.O. box), allows a separate mailing address, and needs a California street address for your agent for service of process. Whether a virtual office address fits a particular field depends on where your business is actually run, so read the Secretary of State's current instructions or ask your accountant or attorney before you file. A virtual office plan is a business address and mail service; it does not include registered agent service.

Questions

Is a virtual office address a real street address?

Can I meet clients at a Los Angeles virtual office?
At most of our Los Angeles addresses, conference rooms and day offices can be booked online by the hour, by appointment. They are not booked online at the two Beverly Hills addresses. The table above shows which addresses have bookable rooms.
Can I use this address for my California LLC?
Many clients use it as their business mailing address. California's Statement of Information asks for a street address for the principal office (it says not to list a P.O. box), allows a separate mailing address, and needs a California street address for your agent for service of process. Whether a virtual office address fits a particular field depends on where your business is actually run, so read the Secretary of State's current instructions or ask your accountant or attorney before you file. A virtual office plan is a business address and mail service; it does not include registered agent service.

Do I need USPS Form 1583 for a virtual office?
Yes. A virtual office that receives your mail is acting as your agent, so it will ask for PS Form 1583 and two IDs. The form also applies to mailbox stores.
